Rebecca and friends made their annual running trip to Maine this year. Lots of fun for all including some wild non revving with 7 ladies, food and wine tours, and the scenic beauty of Maine's Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Gator Hunt!
In true Florida fashion, Ryan and I tasted some good redneck fun, and went on an airboat gator hunt last night. We were guided by Central Florida Trophy Hunts, and had quite an exciting time. It was a beautiful September night, perfect for some father and son bonding, and chasing down some gators in the airboat. We hunted Broadmoor Marsh at the Southern border of Brevard County. Ryan was the winner of the biggest gator, his measuring in at 10' 9". He was quite thrilled, and it was great to see his beaming smile as we first viewed the giant prehistoric head of his gator as his head surfaced, after being harpooned on a 20 knot airboat fly by. Next, we reeled him in, and "bang sticked" him. The whole experience proved to be an exciting one, and despite the late night, most enjoyable.
Cresting Ceremony 2 Sep
Rebecca, Isabelle and I flew up to Birmingham for Dylan's cresting ceremony at Marion Military Institute. It was the ceremony where he was promoted from Recruit to Cadet. It was a warm day, and we saw the Ceremony within the Chapel. Dylan has matured quite a bit in just the 3 weeks he has been at MMI, and progressed through ITC which is Intensive Training Cycle. Since he is still missing his family and girlfriend, it was a joyous event to see this freshly minted Cadet, and fly him home to Cocoa Beach following the ceremony.
