A good week of fishing

Ryan and Joey headed out at Mosquito Lagoon this week, and despite a windy day, landed a quite large 35 in redfish.  Rachel, not wishing to be outdone, followed suit the following day, and caught a nice 21 in trout in the 1000 Islands of Cocoa Beach.

Pineapple man Triathlon last week

Swim-Bike-Run.  A favorite local triathlon in Melbourne Beach.  Usually sweltering hot on the run,  a downpour that started on the bike, and abated to a drizzling overcast kept the run a bit more temperate this year.  Felt great!

A lot of catch up to do.........

One of the benefits of living in Cocoa Beach, is a nice family day on the boat.  This was a neighborhood excursion to Bird Island in the Banana River.   Ryan is gaining his 20 hours to be able to "solo" with the boat.  He is becoming quite a competent little Captain!

Order of the Arrow induction

Ryan was inducted into the Order of the Arrow after completing his weekend "ordeal"  The OA is the National Honor Society for Boy Scouts who have proven their leadership and camping skills to their peers.
